Donegal power past Tyrone and into Ulster final

Ulster champions Donegal sent out a message to the rest of the country on Saturday evening at Kingspan Breffni with an emphatic 1-16 to 0-15 against last year’s All-Ireland finalists Tyrone.

Donegal’s start to the game was impressive with Bundoran’s Jamie Brennan (pictured) finding the Tyrone net in the early moments. Brennan scored 1-3 in total in front of 13,579 spectators.

Tyrone stuggled to cope with the pace of the Donegal attack lines but Mickey Harte had three good goal chances in the opening half, none of which were taken.

Declan Bonner’s side had some nervy moments near the end as Tyrone tried to rescue the game, but they were deserving four-point winners.

The win sets up an Ulster final for Donegal on June 23rd against either Armagh or Cavan, who replay their semi-final on Sunday.
