Gardai are still searching for a number of people suspected of burglaries in the region after they ran from a car in Carrick on Shannon that was pursued by gardai yesterday evening.
At approx. 5.30pm, gardaí in Carrick on Shannon saw a car which was believed to have been previously involved in the burglaries in Sligo and Leitrim.
Following pursuit by Gardaí, the car came to a stop on Quay Street in the town and the occupants ran away.
It’s believed there were three people travelling in the Volvo vehicle.
No arrests have yet been made and investigations are ongoing.
