20 years ago, well-known American author, Robert Drake, was seriously assaulted in an incident at Holborn Street in Sligo. He was severely brain-damaged and has been confined to a wheelchair ever since at his home in Philadelphia. His two attackers were each jailed for eight years – Robert says he fully forgives them for what they did, and has expressed the hope of meeting them again
