A Sligo/Leitrim TD says IT Sligo is playing a major role in attracting jobs to Sligo.
Fine Gael Deputy McLoughlin was speaking during an event yesterday evening at which 100 more new jobs were announced for the town.
The latest jobs will be created by Allstate Sales Group (ASG), a U.S.-based provider of engineering and construction services to the telecommunications industry, mainly in America.
Details of ventures in Sligo and Waterford revealed yesterday are the company’s first expansion outside the U.S.
It comes on top of more than 1,500 new jobs announced last year for Sligo by various companies.
Deputy McLoughlin says IT Sligo and the IDA are key players in attracting these compaines and the jobs they provide to Sligo.
