Healy, Walsh and Fox polling well in Sligo-Drumcliffe area

In the Sligo-Drumcliffe electoral area, about half of the boxes have been opened and tallied.

The boxes are from Ballintogher, Ballisodare, Calry, Maugherow (1), Carraroe, Cliffoney and Collooney.

As expected, candidates based in those areas are polling well.

Heading the poll at this early stage of the tallies is Sinn Féin’s Thomas Healy from Collooney, followed by two Fine Gael candidates Thomas Walsh (Ballygawley) and Tom Fox (Calry).

Two Grange-based candidates, Fianna Fáil’s Donal Gilroy and Independent Marie Casserly are neck-and-neck, with 9% of the vote at this early stage.

Fianna Fáil’s Seamus Kilgannon is on 7%, Fine Gael’s Ciara McLoughlin has 6% and Fianna Fáil’s Colm McGurran is on 5%.

People Before Profit’s Nigel Gallagher is on 5% while Independents Amanda Gallagher and Corey White are on 3% and 2% respectively – but half the boxes for the Sligo-Drumcliffe electoral area have still to be tallied.
