The first official tally figures from the Sligo Count Centre at Summerhill College are due shortly.
Tallying of votes from the Sligo-Strandhill area is nearing completion.
Meanwhile, more than 400 postal votes in County Sligo were cast yesterday.
They were made up of 314 for Ballymote-Tubbercurry, 47 for Sligo-Drumcliffe, and 69 for Sligo-Strandhill.
