Sligo Rovers snatch dramatic 2-1 win at Dalymount Park

Sligo Rovers beat Bohemians in dramatic fashion in Friday night’s televised SSE Airtricity League Premier Division game at Dalymount with a 2-1 win.

A late winner from Romeo Parkes gave Rovers all three points at the end of a second-half which Bohemians had dominated.

Parkes opened the scoring three minutes into the second half, before Conor Levingstone levelled just four minutes later. The Jamaican international found the back of the net again, however, in the 89th minute securing the win late on in the 89th minute after the Gypsies were reduced to 10 men.

Earlier, there were 18 minutes of stoppage time at the end of the first-half following separate injuries to Bohs Dinny Corcoran and Rovers centre-half Dante Leverock.

Leverock’s head injury was the result of an accidental collision with Rovers keeper Ed McGinty. Play was held up for several minutes while the Bermuda international received treatment before being stretchered from the field of play.

Rovers manager Liam Buckley gave this reaction to Ocean FM Sport’s Cathal Mullaney after the game:
