Early voters cast their ballots on way to work

Voters in the north west going to the polls today will elect 18 councillors in Sligo, six in the Manorhamilton area of north Leitrim and six in south Donegal.

In Sligo, they will be choosing from 13 candidates in the Ballymote/Tubbercurry area, and 11 each in the Sligo/Drumcliffe area and Sligo/Strandhill areas.

There’s nine candidates on the ballot paper in the Manorhamilton.

There’s 19 in the Donegal Municipal District.

Voters in the Midlands/North West constituency are also choosing four people to represent them in the European Parliament.
