MEP candidate says more needs to be done to interest young people in European matters

More needs to be done to encourage young people in Ireland to increase their interests in European matters.

That’s according to Fine Gael Midlands North West European candidate, Maria Walsh,

The European candidate says young people want to be involved in Europe but more needs to be done to encourage them.

Maria Walsh says the Erasmus programme presents people with the possibility to take up such opportunities and she has called for it to be expanded to take in vocational training and schools and is seeking that the current Erasmus budget to be tripled.
