Sensational application for Sligo Council elections to be abandoned due to fraud allegations



A member of Sligo County Council has made an application to the Council to have this weekend’s local elections deferred, due to alleged fraud in relation to postal vote registration. Cllr Hubert Keaney says it’s ‘not appropriate’ to stage the election pending a Garda investigation into why there have been so many postal vote applications in the Ballymote-Tubbercurry area. He also claims the ‘disabled’ postal voter list is very questionable
