The General Secretary of Fine Gael has claimed that one of those allocated a postal vote in Co Sligo on grounds of disability is actually playing football in the United States. Tom Curran has reported a number of such anomalies on the postal voting list in the Ballymote-Tubbercurry electoral area to the Gardai, alleging electoral fraud, and abuse of the voting system
