Upgrades at a number of water treatment plants in Sligo to be completed over the coming months



The turning of the flow at a number of water treatment plants in Sligo is taking over the coming months.

Upgrade works at the plants in Grange, Ballinfad, Strandhill and Tubbercurry to be completed this Summer.

Grange on on the 6th of June, Ballinafad on the 26th, Strandhill on the 27th of July and Tubbercurry on the 2nd of August.

These plants will increase the quality of water in the areas they reach.

Independent Sligo Councillor and local election candidate, Marie Casserly, has been actively pushing for the upgrades to be completed.

She says it will be particularly beneficial in Grange.
