Residents raise issue of speeding as local election candidates canvas areas

Local election candidates out canvassing have been hearing hearing concerns from residents in a number of areas about speeding.

Fine Gael Sligo/Strandhill candidate Blaine Gaffney says the speed at which cars approach and enter into Strandhill Village from the Ransboro side is a major concern for the residents of the estates and the businesses on the Top Road there.

Meanwhile, Independent candidate in Sligo/Drumcliffe area Marie Casserly is calling for special speed signs on the road going through the villages of Rathcormac, Grange and Cliffoney.
