Almost 570,000 euro has been collected by hospital in the north west region in car parking revenue.
The data – obtained through a parliamentary question – shows €468,000 was received by Sligo University Hospital through a private provider in 2017.
The figure was significantly less at Letterkenny University where €100,000 were collected also through a private provider.
Nationally, 22-point-4 million euro was received by hospitals around the country in 2017.
