Emlyn Mulligan has left the Leitrim senior football panel.
The Melvin Gaels came on as a second-half substitute during the county’s 14-point defeat to Roscommon at Dr Hyde Park last Sunday. The 31-year-old had largely featured as an impact sub during Leitrim’s successful league run which earned promotion from Division 4.
But it now appears he won’t be involved in the county’s qualifier campaign which is scheduled to begin on June 8th.
Mulligan made his senior championship debut for Leitrim in 2008 when she scored 0-10 against New York.
The 31-year-old works as a Garda these days. His football career has included three cruciate ligament injuries.
