A Donegal councillor has criticised an objection to a proposed children’s playground in Carrick.
Independent Councillor Niamh Kennedy told a meeting of councillors from Donegal Municipal District this week that they could not say too much about it because it was a live application.
However, she added she thought it was a disgrace.
She was supported by Sinn Fein Councillor Noel Jordan.
Cllr Kennedy said local people had been excited about the possibility of getting the long-awaited playground.
