Funding approval for walkway from Donegal Town to Killymard



There has been broad welcome for a decision yesterday by Donegal Municipal District councillors to approve funding for a walkway from Donegal Town to Killymard.

More than 2,000 people signed a petition calling for the works to be done on the road which serves a school, church, a community facility, graveyard, as well as a route to hotels, B and Bs, businesses and scenic areas.

Cllrs Noel Jordan, Sinn Fein; Seamus Maguire, Independent; and Fianna Fail’s Micheal Naughton spoke to Ocean FM News after yesterday’s meeting.
