The Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers Association is appealing for extra vigilance on rural roads during upcoming silage period.
The Association is urging all rural dwellers and visitors to rural areas to be extra cautious over the next few weeks which tend to be a particularly busy period on Irish farms.
Both farmers and contractors are being warned to ensure all work is carried out in a safe environment and at no time should safety standards be relaxed.
