Rents prices up across the north west region



A Sligo local election candidate has critized the Government for not taking adequate steps to tackle the rental crisis.

In Sligo, rents were on average 11.8% higher in the first quarter of 2019 than a year previously. The average listed rent is now €760, up 46% from its lowest point.

In Leitrim, this figure was 8.1% up 43% from its lowest point – The average listed rent there is now €590.

Meanwhile Donegal, rents were on average 8.5% higher. Rent prices there are now €645, up 33% from its lowest point.

They are some of the main findings from the latest quarterly Daft.ie rental report.
