HSE recruitment freeze ‘leaves people in limbo’ says election candidate

A local election candidate says people are being left in limbo by the Health Service Executive’s most recent recruitment freeze.

It’s understood the HSE has decided to suspend recruitment for three months due to the “financial pressures in the system” from recruitment last year.

According to a letter written by the HSE’s Chief Operations Officer, Liam Wood on March 29th, the freeze will apply to the recruitment of new posts.

Independent candidate Barry Gallagher says there is lack of communication from the HSE on the issue.
