Pringle Slams Government on delivery of national broadband plan



Donegal Independent TD for Donegal Thomas Pringle has slammed Fine Gael for what he calls “a continuation of their failure to deliver national infrastructure projects for the people of Ireland”.

Deputy Pringle claims that “Fine Gael’s latest move on the National Broadband Plan reveals their inability to manage fiscal projects in this country and he has criticised them For giving away one of the few state-owned national infrastructure projects to the private sector and for not revealing how much the successful company that secured the contract, Granahan Mc Court are investing into the project.

 

Minister Richard Bruton insists that over the period of the contract, less than 50 per cent of the cost will be met by the state:
