Those with physical disabilities will now be able to access Rossnowlagh beach more easily.
A new wheelchair specifically designed for use on the beach has been unveiled.
It follows a fund raising efforts by locals, council staff and Donegal County Council who secured the remainder of the €5,000.
Fianna Fail local election candidate and Chair of Donegal Municipal District, Cllr Michael Naughton, says the Sandhouse Hotel is providing a home and safekeeping the wheelchair.
