An Garda operation is currently taking place at present at Connaughton Road car park in Sligo.
Members of the McGinley family have been living in the car park for the past 30 years.
Over 30 member of the force are at the scene this morning along with representatives from Sligo County Council.
There has been concern recently about the dismantling of cars and the keeping of animals in the public local authority car park.
It’s understood this morning’s incident is in relation to the scrap dismantling and disposal operation that has been on-going in the car park for some time.
Gardai have declined to comment on the operation at present.
