Sligo Rovers lose 2-1 to St Pat’s



Sligo Rovers were beaten 2-1 by St Patrick’s Athletic in Friday night’s SSE Aitricity League Premier Division game at Richmond Park in Inchicore.

First-half goals from Chris Forrester and a penalty from from former Rovers player Mikey Drennan gave St Pat’s a 2-0 lead.

Rovers improved in the second-half and David Cawley pulled a goal back in the closing moments. However, Liam Buckley’s side were unable to find an equaliser.

In the night’s other games, Finn Harps lost 3-0 to Dundalk at Oriel Park. League leaders Shamrock Rovers beat Derry City 1-0 at the Brandywell, Bohemians were 3-0 winners against UCD while Waterford beat Cork City 2-0.
