Two men to appear in court in connection with a grow house in Leitirm



Two Lithuanian men arrested in North Leitrm in relation to a drug seizure will appear before a special sitting of Carrick on Shannon District Court this morning.

The men aged 49 and 22 were arrested and charged this week in Manorhamilton following the discovery of a cannabis growhouse

They are both due to appear in court around now (10 am).

On Tuesday last, Manorhamilton gardai, supported by gardai from the Armed Support Unit in Ballyshannon, made the discovery after they searched a rented property in Rossinver shortly after 10 o’clock last night.

The found a growhouse with lighting and ventilation systems.

They also found 40 mature cannabis plants and a large number of plants in the early stage of growth, as well as a quantity of cannabis herb.

The estimated value of the find is about €60,000.

Two men aged 22 and 49 were detained and held in Ballyshannon under the Drug Trafficking Act.

They are both due in court this morning.
