Councillors at this week’s Manorhamilton Municipal District meeting of Leitrim County Council heard calls for the town of Manorhamilton to be made into a” safe cycle friendly town”.
The calls were made by local independent Councillor and local election candidate, Felim Gurn
The locally based businessman claimed this would help link the Leitrim town to the Spanish Armanda, Glencar trail and on to Streedagh in Sligo.
Speaking to Ocean FM news following the meeting, Felim Gurn explained how the local area could do
with benefiting from a tourism spin off from the Spanish Armada.
