Border areas need to be developed regardless of Brexit outcome



The Co-operation, respect and friendship between communities on both sides of the border must be maintained and nurtured irrespective of a soft or hard Brexit.

That’s according to MEP candidate for the Midlands North West constituency, Finanna Fáil’s Brendan Smith.

Speaking earlier to Ocean FM News Mr Smith outlined how Ireland as a County must avoid going back to a time where the border caused damage and destruction to a number of towns,

 

The former Minister for Agriculture  added that co-operation that currently exists as a result of the good Friday agreement must be fostered and supported now more than ever:
