Sligo Rovers produced their best performance of the season in 2019 on Friday night to beat champions Dundalk 2-1 in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division.
Romeo Parkes gave Rovers the lead after just 27 seconds with what was the home side’s first attack.
Pat Hoban equalised for Dundalk on 23 minutes from the penalty spot after Kyle Callan-McFadden handled the ball in the penalty area.
However, Dante Leverock restored Rovers lead four minutes before half-time with what proved to be the matchwinner.
