A whale has been washed up on a north Sligo.
The 12 metres long female sperm whale was found earlier today on Streedagh beach.
The Irish Whale and Dolphin have been informed.
This follows the beaching of a number of whales over the past few months along the North West Coast.
Speaking earlier to Ocean FM Councillor Marie Casserly says the whale probably came ashore to die.
