Pilot scheme in Ballybofey may see businesses paid to let people use toilets

Businesses in Ballybofey in Donegal will be paid for letting customers use their toilets.

Donegal County Council could pay restaurants or hotels up to a thousand euro a year if they let people go to the loo.

The pilot scheme is being introduced due to a lack of public toilets in the area.

Local councillor Patrick McGowan says they are going to see if it works out.
