Major tourism boost for north west



The Counties of Sligo Leitrim and Donegal will be able to avail of new fund which is aimed at boosting the attractiveness and tourism appeal of up to 62 towns across the Country

Fáilte Ireland will invest €15.5million into the fund which was announced by the Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, Brendan Griffin T.D., today.

The Fáilte Ireland scheme is part of the National Tourism Development Authority’s work to drive a better regional spread of overseas and domestic visitors and spend.

Local Authorities will be able to bid for between a quarter and half a million euro to create ‘destination towns’ in their area.
