UK licence holders facing long delays to change to Irish licence

The holders of UK and Northern Ireland driver licences are facing long delays in having their licences exchanged for Irish licences.

The exchange of licences is necessary in the event of no-deal Brexit.

Independent TD Michael Fitzmaurice called on the minister to step up to the plate, as many people in the north west are struggling to avail of the services currently on offer.

Time is also running out for those affected as they only have until April 12th, to carry out the switch.
