Sinn Fein MEP Matt Carthy has accused the government of trying to avert attention away from their own failings over brexit and blame the beef farmers for possibly needing a bailout in the event of a no deal Brexit.
Speaking earlier to Ocean FM, Mr Carthy described the move as shameful especially with the beef industry facing a crucial period.
Mr Cathy accused the Taoiseach of pushing back any progress on the subject until April and has giving no indication of what happens in the event beef farmers need to be aided.
