The process of identifying the most appropriate site for a new pedestrian crossing in Ballisodare Co Sligo needs to be fast tracked according to a local cllr.
A pedestrian crossing had been installed in the town in the past however locals felt that the location was too dangerous as it was positioned close to a roundabout and on a corner.
Following consultation with engineers from Sligo County Council a choice of four potential locations for a new crossing has been identified.
Local Sinn Fein Cllr Thomas Healy says residents now have a choice in where the crossing will be located.
