Summerhill’s Michael Morgan retains All-Ireland Schools cross country title



Summerhill College student Michael Morgan enjoyed another big win in his young athletics career on Saturday when he retained the  Irish Life Health All-Ireland schools cross country intermediate title for Summerhill College.

Morgan, who is coached by Dermot McDermott, was a decisive winner of the boys intermediate race held at Clongowes Wood College in county Kildare.

Michael will now captain the Ireland schools team for their home internationals cross country event in Santry in two weeks time.

There was an excellent performance from Colaiste Iascaigh’s Keelin Kilrehill too on Saturday. He finished second in the boys senior cross country race.
