A yellow weather warning is in affect for the country from 11pm tonight.
The warning is for snow and ice and will remain in place until 6am Monday morning.
Met Eireann are warning that scattered thundery showers of hail, sleet and snow could fall.
They say this can lead to poor visibility and slippery and icy conditions.
