Concern that dog owners could be shot while dogs attack sheep



With reported increase of sheep being attacked by dogs across the region, a Sligo councillor has warned of the possibility of a dog owner being mistakenly shot, if the problem is not tackled. Farmers have the right to shoot dogs worrying sheep on their lands, and Cllr Michael Clarke says there are increasing numbers of people blooding hounds on farmers’ lands, which would prove dangerous
