12 Garda recruits from the North West region graduated from Templemore today.
In total 6 of those were from Sligo, 5 from Donegal and one was from Leitrim.
Meanwhile 22 of the graduates have been allocated to stations in the north west region.
The highest number of 15 have been stationed in the Donegal region and seven have in placed in the Sligo/Leitrim region.
Meanwhile the Garda Commissioner has told the latest intake from Templemore that they will put themselves in harm’s way to protect others.
206 people from Ireland and abroad passed out of the Garda College this afternoon, in a ceremony also attended by the Justice Minister.
Of the new recruits to the force, 46 are women.
