Motorists warned of surface water & fallen trees on north west roads



Motorists across the north west are being advised to take extra care on the regions roads this morning after heavy overnight rain and strong winds has led to surface water and debris on several roads.

 

A tree has fallen on the Kesh to Pettigo road, 5 KM’s the northern side of Pettigo.

 

Gardai are urging motorists to extra care on that route and to expect some disruptions until the tree has been cleared.

 

Flooding is also being reported at Castlefin in Donegal.

 

Meanwhile in Sligo there are reports of surface water on the Geevagh to Ballygawley road, and the Ballygawley to Cooloney Road.

 

In Leitrim Gardai are also advising of surface water at Socks line on the Manorhamilton Road, and at Dunally on the Sligo to Manorhamilton road.

 

There are also reports of severe amounts of surface water at Muckrim Bridge on the Kinlough to Ballintrillick road.
