Independent broadcasters of Ireland to lobby TDs

Commercial radio bosses are to grill TDs this evening on their inaction when it comes to protecting the future of broadcasting.

The government promised three years ago to abolish the tax on independent radio stations that’s used to fund the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland.

No action has been taken yet – and the government is now suggesting they may only halve the levy.
