9 wins on the bounce for Sligo All Stars



The EJ’s Sligo All Stars traveled to Limerick on Saturday evening and came away with a convincing 94-77 win over a L.I.T. side who are rooted to the bottom of the Division 1 Southern Conference table.

The All Star’s traveled south on the back of 8 straight wins and picked up from where they left off last week, taking the lead early on and they went in at the half time break with a healthy 56-35 lead with Zac Yonda and Oisin O’Reilly to the fore.

Sligo extended their lead further in the 3rd quarter before the home side tagged on a few last quarter baskets to leave a 17 point difference at the final buzzer.

Zac Yonda top scored again with 25 points and was ably assisted by Oisin O’Reilly (22pts) and Tobi Brockmann who netted 15 points.

The win cements the All Stars place in 3rd in the Northern Conference and the will be looking to make it a perfect 10 this Saturday 23rd February when the host Fr.Matthews in the Mercy College. The game has a 7.30pm tip off.
