Leitrim cllr calls for regulation of home breathalysers

A Leitrim cllr is calling on the gardai to issue information to the general public on the many “home breathalysers” that are currently available on the market.

Sinn Fein Councillor Brendan Barry made the request at a recent Joint Police Committee meeting.

The Drumshanbo based councillor is calling on the Minister of Justice and Equality, Charlie Flanagan to introduce regulation that will ensure all breathalysers meet the same standard as those used by the Gardai.
