A man has been remanded on bail following a major drug seizure in Sligo town on Sunday night.
Members of the Sligo Crime Unit and the Divisional Drugs Unit carried out a search in the Cranmore area of Sligo town.
About €60,000 worth of what is believed to be cannabis was seized.
The man was arrested by gardai for the sale and supply of illegal drugs and was detained at Ballymote Garda Station under the Drug Trafficking Act.
Last night the man in his 30’s was brought before a special sitting of Sligo District Court and remanded on bail.
