Gardai renew appeal in Donegal murder case



Gardai have renewed an appeal for information as part of their ongoing investigation into the murder of a Donegal man 11 years ago today.

On the 12th February 2008, 27-year old Andrew Burns was killed at Donnyloop, Castlefin.

Between 7.05pm and 7.15pm on February 12th, he received gunshot wounds and was found on a roadway close to Donnyloop Church.

He was pronounced dead a short time later.

Gardai say the perpetrators were people linked to violent Dissident Republican activity.

One person has been convicted of his murder and a number of persons have been arrested in connection with the investigation. .
