(UPDATE: Road now fully reopened)
The inbound lane of the N4 heading to Sligo is down to one lane following a road traffic collision.
The incident occurred just after 1pm this afternoon involving one vehicle.
Gardaí, Ambulance and the Fire Service are currently attending the scene with motorists advised to drive carefully if travelling along the route.
Motorists are advised that traffic is moving extremely slowly and to seek alternative routes if possible.
In a separate collision on the outbound lane, another vehicle was involved in a separate incident at around the same time.
There were no injuries reported in that incident and the road is fully open to traffic.
