Suckler Farmers in the North West are being encouraged to apply for the new €40 per cow Beef Environmental and Efficiency Pilot scheme for sucklers.
The application period for this new scheme will run from February 4th to February 22nd.
In total 20 million euro for sucklers was secured in the last budget and although the IFA says the 40 Euro per cow falls well below the required amount, IFA National Livestock Chairman Angus Woods is encouraging all farmers to apply for the funding.
