Funeral of four men killed in Donegal crash to take place this week



The funerals of four young men, who died in a single car collision in county Donegal on Sunday, will take place later this week.

Shaun Harkin, John Harley, Michael Roarty and Daniel Scott, who were all in their early 20s, died when their Toyota Corolla car left the road near Gortahork.

The funerals of four young men who all tragically died in a car accident on Sunday night will take place in West Donegal on Thursday.

22-year-old Shaun Harkins funeral will take place at in Christ the King Church in Gortahork on Thursday at 10am. While the funeral of 24-year-old John Harley will take place in St Finnians Church, Falcarragh at 1pm on Thursday afternoon.

Michael Roarty, who was also 24, his funeral mass will also take place on Thursday morning at 11:30am at the Sacred Heart Church in Dunlewey, while Daniel Scott, who was also in his early 20s, his funeral mass will take place at Christ the King Church in Gortahork at 2:30pm on Thursday afternoon.

The four young men died incidentally when their car collided with a bridge just outside Gortahork on Sunday night.

The principle of PCC Falcarragh, were some of the men went to school, says the local community are struggling to come to terms with what happened.
