A new councillor is expected to be co-opted onto Donegal County Council this afternoon.
He’s Drimarone-based teacher Seamus Maguire who due to replace Independent Councillor John Campbell, who has decided to step down from the council to focus on the effort to get more Independent candidates elected.
Maguire, who’ll be a candidates in the council elections in May, has worked on various community projects, including bringing the National Rowing Championships to Donegal Town.
