The Labour Party has a selected its candidate to run in the Midlands North West constituency for the European Parliament elections in May.

Dominic Hannigan was selected at the party’s selection convention in Mullingar yesterday following a two-candidate race.

He is a former TD for the Meath East constituency from 2011 to 2016 and was a senator from 2007 to 2011.
