Revenues denies Donegal customs posts are being restored



The chairman of the Revenue Commissioners has denied speculation that restoration work was being carried out on old customs posts ones in Donegal.

Niall Cody also confirmed that there will be no customs posts along the border in the case of a hard Brexit.

Revenue says it’s on track to have 400 additional staff in place to deal with a hard Brexit.

Appearing before the Oireachtas Finance Committee this morning to discuss preparations, Mr Cody says Revenue will be ready for all scenarios by the Brexit deadline in March:
